I don’t know how people can figure it out. As I’m playing Starcraft or Counter-Strike and loving the fact that I made it into a game room, all of a sudden I get kicked out. Why? Because apparently I’m a noob. Yes, I have no stars or no Silver Dragon to show that I have spent countless hours beating gamer after worthless gamer. And all I got was a lousy “NOOB! KICK!”

But I came upon an interesting article: The Newb vs. Noob tutorial.

“Contrary to the belief of many, a noob/n00b and a newbie/newb are not the same thing.

are those who are new to some task* and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage.

, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own. Noobs are often referred to as n00bs as a sign of disrespect toward them…”

Get it right, jerks. I’m a newb. I learn from my mistakes. I don’t communicate in noobish language. I’ll pwn your ass in due time. At least this image gets it right:

The diver will most certainly restart the level, grab the treasure, and kick the shark’s ass to make tuna. Mmmm!
